We are a biopharmaceutical company focused on in-licensing, developing and
commercializing proprietary product candidates principally for use in the
hospital setting. Since our inception in May 2004, we have in-licensed rights to
two product candidates, both of which are currently being studied in Phase III
clinical trials. We have in-licensed the exclusive U.S. and Canadian rights to
Acetavancetm, formerly known as IV APAP, an intravenous formulation of
acetaminophen that is currently marketed in Europe and several other markets by
Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, or BMS, for the treatment of acute pain and fever
under the brand name Perfalgan®. We have also in-licensed the exclusive North
American and European rights to omiganan pentahydrochloride 1% aqueous gel, or
Omigardtm for the prevention and treatment of device-related, surgical
wound-related and burn-related infections.
