Russ Berrie and Company, Inc. is a leading designer, importer, marketer and
distributor of infant and juvenile and gift consumer products with annual net
sales of $331.2 million in 2007. The Company currently operates in two segments:
(i) its infant and juvenile segment and (ii) its gift segment. The term
"Company" refers to Russ Berrie and Company, Inc. and its consolidated
subsidiaries, unless the context requires otherwise.
The Company's infant and juvenile segment designs, manufactures through
third parties and markets products in a number of categories including, among
others, infant bedding and accessories, bath toys and accessories, developmental
toys, feeding items and baby comforting products. The infant and juvenile
segment currently consists of Kids Line LLC ("Kids Line") and Sassy, Inc.
("Sassy").
