We are principally engaged in the meat and food processing business in The People’s Republic of China (the “PRC”). Our product line includes over 270 unique meat products, including chilled pork, frozen pork, pig by-products and prepared meats, that are sold on a wholesale basis and on a retail basis through an exclusive network of showcase stores, network stores and supermarket counters under our “Zhongpin” brand. Our nine processing plants, which are located in Henan, Heilongjiang and Sichuan Provinces and in the Economic Development Zone in Tianjin City in the PRC, have a total of 15 production lines with an aggregate processing capacity of approximately 963 metric tons per day, based on an eight-hour working day, or approximately 346,680 metric tons on an annual basis.
