We have been engaged in oil and natural gas exploration on approximately 219,000 acres onshore in the State of Israel between Netanya in the south and Haifa in the north. The areas have been subject to a series of exploration permits and licenses that have been granted to and held by us pursuant to the Israeli Petroleum Law. We currently hold two exclusive exploration licenses covering approximately 162, 100 acres. One license, named the “Asher-Menashe License”, covers an area of 319,000 dunam (approximately 78,825 acres) which is located on the Israeli coastal plain and the Mt. Carmel range between Caesarea in the south and Haifa in the north. The second license, named the "Joseph License”, covers an area of 337,000 dunam (approximately 83,275 acres) located on the Israeli coastal plain south of the Asher-Menashe License between Caesarea in the north and Netanya in the south.
