SDG&E’s common stock is wholly owned by Enova Corporation, which is a wholly
owned subsidiary of Sempra Energy, a California-based Fortune 500 holding
company. The financial statements herein are the Consolidated Financial
Statements of SDG&E, its sole subsidiary, SDG&E Funding LLC, and a variable
interest entity of which it is the primary beneficiary. Sempra Energy also
indirectly owns the common stock of Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas).
SDG&E and SoCalGas are collectively referred to herein as "the Sempra
Utilities."
