Cal Dive International, Inc., headquartered in Houston, Texas, is a marine
contractor that provides an integrated offshore construction solution to its
customers, including manned diving, pipelay and pipe burial services, and
platform installation and salvage services, in the offshore oil and natural gas
industry, on the Gulf of Mexico Outer Continental Shelf, or OCS, the
Northeastern U.S., Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the
Mediterranean and Australia. We currently own and operate a diversified fleet of
34 vessels, including 24 surface and saturation diving support vessels, six
pipelay/pipebury barges, one dedicated pipebury barge, one combination
derrick/pipelay barge and two derrick barges.
We were organized in February 2006 as a Delaware corporation to facilitate the
transfer to us by Helix of its shallow water marine contracting business.
Previously, we were a division of Helix.
