We are a major producer of ready-mixed concrete, precast concrete products and
concrete-related products in select markets in the United States. We operate our
business through our ready-mixed concrete and concrete-related products segment;
and our precast products concrete segment. We are a leading ready-mixed concrete
or precast concrete producer products in substantially all the markets in which
we have operations. Ready-mixed and precast concrete products are important
building materials that are used in a vast majority of commercial, residential
and public works construction projects.
All of our operations are in (and all of our sales are made within) the United
States. We operate principally in Texas, California, New Jersey and Michigan,
with those states representing 35%, 32%, 14% and 11%, respectively, of our net
sales from continuing operations for the year ended December 31, 2007.
