General
Havertys is a specialty retailer of residential furniture and accessories. We
provide our customers with a wide selection of products and styles primarily in
the middle to upper-middle price ranges. As an added convenience to our
customers, we offer financing through an internal revolving charge credit plan
as well as a third-party finance company.
Havertys originated as a family business in 1885 in Atlanta, Georgia with one
store and made deliveries using horse-drawn wagons. The Company grew to 18
stores and accessed additional capital for growth through its initial public
offering in October 1929. Havertys has grown to over 120 stores in 17 states in
the Southern and Midwest regions.
