Nam Tai Electronics, Inc. was founded in 1975 and moved its manufacturing facilities to China in 1980 to take advantage of lower overhead costs, lower material costs and competitive labor rates available and subsequently relocated to Shenzhen, China in order to capitalize on opportunities offered in southern China. We were reincorporated as a limited liability International Business Company under the laws of the British Virgin Islands in August 1987 (which was amended in 2004 as The British Virgin Islands Business Companies Act, 2004). Our principal manufacturing and design operations are currently based in Shenzhen, China, approximately 30 miles from Hong Kong, and we plan to construct new manufacturing facility in Guangming Shenzhen and two more facilities in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, near the East Coast of China, approximately 80 miles Northwest of Shanghai. Our PRC headquarters is located in Macao, which, like Hong Kong, is a Special Administrative Region of the PRC.
